SAINT JOSEPH'S CATHEDRAL
A cathedral of neo-Romanesque architecture with a beautiful carved white façade and two beautiful twin bell towers.
Notice its beautiful white sculpted façade. Its neo-Romanesque architecture may seem familiar to you, as it was built by the French architect Béranger in 1898, on commission from French missionaries. It has two beautiful twin bell towers and the interior is painted with frescoes representing the Old Testament. The stained glass windows were imported from France.
The Sunday morning mass at 9am lasts two hours, it is said and above all beautifully sung in Kiswahili by an African choir, accompanied by an organ.
