PRINCESS SALME MUSEUM
Museum retracing the life in the palace and the habits of the court of the sultan with large explanatory panels.
This museum is a modest private collection on the life of the famous Princess Sayyida Salmé, daughter of the island's first sultan, born on 30 August 1844 in Zanzibar. Based on her autobiography and documentary sources of the time, the museum traces the life of the palace and the habits of the sultan's court. Some clothes (not belonging to the princess), large explanatory panels and objects of daily life make up the collection. There is also a cultural tour of Stone Town on the theme of the princess. For the passionate!
