Excursion starting in the port of Malindi where slaves were unloaded from Bagamoyo, Tanzania mainland.

This tour starts in the port of Malindi where slaves were unloaded from Bagamoyo in mainland Tanzania ("where there is no hope" in Swahili). Then, from the house of the Arab slaveholder Tippu Tip to the slave market via the Anglican church, the tour continues to Mbweni, where there was a school for freed slave girls. It continues to Livingstone House and Mangapwani Caves, the last stop before being shipped to the Arabian Peninsula on dhows, carried by the monsoon wind.
