MANIAL PALAIS
Imposing Ottoman palace housing jewels, carpets and copies of the Koran evoking the splendor of the dynasty of yesteryear.
In March 2015, the Palais Manial reopened its doors after ten years of renovation. This imposing Ottoman building was built at the beginning of the 20th century by Mohamed Ali. The surrounding wall conceals a vast garden with lush vegetation. There are several buildings, including the royal residence, the throne room and a mosque. Inside, jewellery, carpets and copies of the Koran evoke the splendour of the dynasty of yesteryear. In this green setting, the King Farouk Hunting Museum and its heterogeneous collections are not lacking in surprises.
