SUPREME COURT
Egyptian Supreme Court of Justice, with a neoclassical façade that gives the institution a powerful appearance.
The buildings that house the Egyptian Supreme Court of Justice were built between 1925 and 1934, by the architects Léon Azéma, Max Edrei and Jacques, following an international competition. The neo-classical façade gives an impression of power to the institution, which it hides from the eyes of passers-by. The floor of the Salle des Pas Perdus is in Art Deco style. President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi is planning to transfer the Supreme Court to the new capital he is building about 50 km from Cairo: Sissi City.
