BAB EL-GHOURI
Enter the popular souk to visit the clothing and linen market, the pretty Al Ghuri mosque...
At the entrance to the popular souq, where Egyptians go to haggle over clothes and household linen. Perhaps you'd like to visit the pretty "Al Ghuri" mosque inside the wall on the right. The columns at the corner of the mosque have Coptic and Byzantine-style capitals. It is usually only visible from the outside. You can then continue along the tuk-tuk-crowded main street to reach the drapery market and bab Zoueila, remembering to pick up your shoes of course!
