SABIL MOHAMMED ALI
Sabil is made up of eight domes set below the street, with a dome decorated in the pure style of greenery and landscapes.
This sabil is now below the street which has grown 1.50 m in height in less than two centuries. Its facade of white Turkish marble, its Ottoman style, and its dedication to Sultan Mahmud, make it a pure product of early 19th century Ottoman art. The dome is decorated in a pure style of greenery and landscapes. Nowadays one can go down into the cistern below, whose ceiling, consisting of eight domes, is supported by three imposing pillars 9 m high. Its capacity is 455,000 litres.
