TEXTILE MUSEUM
Small museum exhibiting textiles from ancient Egypt and the Roman, Coptic and Islamic eras, such as shawls, loincloths...
Retrospective of 250 fabrics and 150 carpets from different periods of Egyptian history. This small museum is nevertheless very interesting, it exhibits textiles from ancient Egypt and the Roman, Coptic and Islamic periods. Shawls, loincloths, Coptic tunics, carpets, giswat, bedspreads, shrouds... all the arts and crafts of the different eras are represented and explained in English (tactile tablets give information in French). The museum also reveals the instruments once used to clean and launder clothes.
