HOTEL OASIS
2-star hotel with rooftop swimming pool and trendy bar located close to Barcelona's old port.
A 2-star hotel located near the old port. Most of the rooms have been renovated in a contemporary style, with air-conditioning and wifi connection, and modern facilities to offer every comfort. The hotel also has a small swimming pool on its roof terrace with deckchairs for sunbathing, and a trendy bar to sip a drink between two swims! We especially appreciate its privileged location, halfway between the beach and the Born district, perfect to vary the pleasures.

A bientôt!
Our main point was that we booked the hotel and we paid for everything included, also the taxes. They insisted that city taxes were on top of what we already spent for *taxes*. This extra cost was no mentioned anywhere in their website or booking.com Other hotels did mention extra costs, so we were led to believe EVERYTHING WAS INCLUDED, which is what we paid for. I believe these extra costs should have been mentioned on their page AND on the booking page as other hotels do. In fact, if aware of the extra hidden costs, we would have chosen another place to start with.
Another issue was the bed. We booked a double bedroom and were offered a twin room (without asking us) where the two single beds had been merely put close together.
Another issue is that the pool was only open a couple of hours in the afternoon and you could not even sit by the pool unless you consume FOOD from the bar ????
Another issue was that the shower had a broken door and the sink was blocked, and we could not even wash our hands easily.
I understand there may be differences of views, and I would have accepted a gesture of good will to let us feel welcome and to sympatize with us. Particularly because the hotel itself was very expensive but had many flaws, as mentioned above.
What we found was rigidity and inflexibility instead. Staff (several of them) did not accept ANY responsibility, and they did not offer anything to acknowledge our dissatisfaction. In fact, they did not even offer a coffee to us, and we had to pay each of our (very expensive) breakfasts.
This is, in summary, a hotel that pretends to be a 'higher level' boutique hotel with fees that reflect this. Unfortunately, staff is not trained to welcome clients, and there is no sense of 'ensuring that the client is happy'. We were very disappointed and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
