SACRED HEARTS" MUSEUM-GALLERY SPACE
Disused church in a sober style with an art gallery for exhibitions, conferences and concerts.
On the road to the citadel, this large triple-naved Byzantine basilica (6th century) was built under the Archbishop of Ravenna, who was a native of Rovinj. In the sober style characteristic of the early Italian Christians, this disused church is decorated with wall frescoes, while its mosaics have been moved to the city's archaeological museum. In the 480 square kilometre space, an art gallery has been created where exhibitions, lectures and concerts are held.
