ÎLE DE MALI BRIJUN
Second largest island of the archipelago with the largest fortification of the Austro-Hungarian army on the Adriatic coast.
Mali Brijun and Veliki Brijun were once one and the same. Today, the two islands are separated by the Tisnac canal. Between 1895 and 1900, the Austro-Hungarian army built the largest fortification on the Adriatic coast (Fort Minor). Until recently, the archipelago's large island (100 ha) was only open to the public for a theater festival. Kayakers (Mali Brijun Adventure) and yachtsmen can now stop off in the bay of Saint-Nicolas. The price of a ticket to dock at the new nautical base depends on the type of boat.
