CHURCH OF ST. PELAGIUS AND ST. MAXIMUS
Renovated three-aisled cruciform church in Novigrad with a Romanesque crypt with Latin inscriptions.
A church with a cruciform plan, with three naves, built for the first Christians, was consecrated when the bishopric was established in Novigrad in the 5th century. It has been renovated many times, with the addition of a classical portal and an elegant bell tower, richly decorated in the Baroque period, including the pulpit in solid wood. The organ is also remarkable. To see, in the Romanesque crypt of the 12th century, Latin inscriptions. Sometimes concerts are given there with the local choir.
