Small lapidarium with collections found during archaeological excavations in the Novigrad region.
A small lapidarium is housed in the Palazzo Rigo in the historic city center. The permanent collections consist mainly of tombstones and funerary plaques, sculpted architectural elements and fragments of monuments (cornices, columns). All these archaeological objects were collected during systematic excavations carried out in the region. They have made it possible to assemble a homogeneous collection of materials that tell us a great deal about the Roman period in Histria antica. Temporary exhibitions of contemporary art are also held here.
