Gallery of contemporary art in Umag with walls decorated with Croatian and foreign abstract art from the second half of the 20th century.
Performance artist Slavica Marin is the owner and director of this contemporary art gallery, which has been open since 1977, in a space built into the heart of the old city walls. Academic and cubist painters have adorned these walls, but also Croatian and foreign abstract art from the second half of the twentieth century, such as the painter Edo Murtić, the sculptor Dušan Džamonja or Vlasta Delimar with intriguing performances. Slovenian artists have also created cultural bridges between these two border countries.
