On the heights of the village, next to the Jelena Križavice church, there is a restaurant whose terrace under an arbour offers a splendid view of the Kvarner Gulf. On the menu, Croatian specialties cooked by the chef, plates of cold cuts, local cheese, grilled meat or fish, platters to share with family or friends, meat stew in sauce, seafood, fresh pasta, gnocchi, risotto with seasonal asparagus ... Everything is homemade! Good wine list too. It's more expensive than elsewhere but tasty.

Wir waren insgesamt 2 x im Bistro oštarija Fortica essen. Das Essen war unheimlich lecker. Das erste Mal mussten wir leider trotz Reservierung gut 90 Minuten auf das Essen warten (das Restaurant war aber auch bis auf den letzten Platz belegt). Das könnte natürlich besser sein. Beim zweiten Mal waren wir unter der Woche da und es war deutlich weniger los da lief alles reibungslos. Insgesamt waren wir aber voll und ganz zufrieden!! Das "Gulasch vom Rind" (das andere Bewertungen erwähnen) sind übrigens Bäckchen vom Rind. Das Restaurant ist hundefreundlich / Dog friendly wobei das ja viele Restaurants in Kroatien sind. Sie haben dem Hund aber extra einen Napf mit Wasser gebracht :-) Alles in allem eine echte Empfehlung! Das Essen war wirklich toll. Das Restaurant ist schön.
