SAFRAN DES VOLCANS
Visit a saffron farm to learn more about the cultivation of organic saffron, its history and uses, and enjoy a tasting.
Michel Baur and his son Christopher have been growing organic saffron since 2013. To share their passion, they offer tours of the saffron farm throughout the year. Depending on the season, visitors discover different stages in the process. In spring, the bulbs with their large leaves multiply, and in summer, they are harvested. In autumn, the flowers are harvested and pruned. In winter, the pistils are dried to become saffron. The tour ends with a tasting of the products on sale in the boutique or on the website.
