Marjan Hill at the western end of the Split bay offering a panoramic view of the city and the creek.

At the western end of the bay of Split, the hill Marjan - pronounced Mariane - with its pine forest, Mediterranean and tropical plants, acts as a green lung for the city. A staircase or buses lead to the top of the hill (178 m) from where the lookout offers a panoramic view of the city and the cove. At its feet, a promenade runs along the sea, where you can swim, green areas, beaches, beach bars, restaurants, sports and recreation areas, institutes and museums. Ask for a map at Info Centar Park-šuma Marjan (trumbiceva obala 18).

Une randonnée agréable pour aller à la chapelle . Beaucoup de marches mais une vue superbe sur le port et sur la ville.

Attention tout est en montée, c'est un peu sportif quand même et ça se mérite pour aller déjà au point de vue, juste à côté de bar restaurant qui domine la ville et le port, et de plus si vous continuez votre balade au dessus pour voir la côte et les criques en surplomb, prévoir de bonnes chaussures pour un meilleur confort de marche, c'est une balade incontournable, prévoir un peu d'eau pour le chemin. A savoir aussi, beaucoup de marches sur cette montée.

C'est probablement mon meilleur souvenir de Split, la vue est magnifique, c'est calme très calme, les arbres offrent des ombres très appréciables l'été ! Mais attention, ça grimpe au début !
