Opened in 1931, this state museum reflects Croatian artistic trends from the 14th century to the present day under the various regimes (Republic of Venice, Austro-Hungarian Empire, Socialist Yugoslavia, current Republic). More than 400 works on 2,200 m2 on several levels. The entire history of Croatian art unfolds here, from the medieval Gothic and Renaissance to the abstract art of the 1960s. On the ground floor, contemporary art and multimedia, the lounge bar.
