REGIONAL MUSEUM
Regional museum preserving several Roman sarcophagi, funerary steles, marine maps and historical documents.
In 1979, the Centar za kulturu Brač, based in Nerežišća, established the regional island museum in Škrip, which is the island's oldest municipality, a few kilometers from Supetar. The permanent collection features Roman sarcophagi, funerary stelae, nautical charts, weapons, handicrafts, photographs and other historical documents. Traditional olive oil production is also featured. The cultural center also manages the Branislav Dešković art gallery in Bol and the Pustinja Blaca (White Desert) monastery in Nerežišća.
