HERITAGE MUSEUM
A Renaissance style house on the outskirts of Hvar, with a museum, library and private room.
On the road to Stari Grad, the manor house of poet and playwright Hannibal Lucić (1485-1553) was built around 1530 in the late Gothic-Renaissance style. The ensemble comprises two buildings and a vast, romantic walled garden. For a long time, the property housed the regional archives, before becoming the Hvar Heritage Museum in 2000. What a pleasure it is to enter a perfectly preserved noble interior and visit the private salon and library, where period furniture and objects are kept, as well as a collection of historical manuscripts!
