STINIVA CREEK
Narrow cove in Vis bordered by massive cliffs of 4 m with a somewhat sporty descent, but it is worth the detour.
South of the island of Vis, the narrow cove of Stiniva was voted "Europe's Best Beach" in 2016 by readers of a Brussels-based tourism portal(European Best Destinations). And understandably so. This natural site, protected since 1967, is bordered by massive cliffs that leave a passageway for the sea of just 4 m. This gives it an intimate, heavenly feel, and the water is warmer than elsewhere. A 20-minute walk along the rocks leads to the cove. The descent is a bit strenuous, but well worth the detour!
