Had fish soup and sandwich(light lunch menu). Fish soup was so so but fine. Sandwich was really good. Not too salty. Kind and friendly staff, fair price.

Only had drinks here but it was lovely and had great sun which made me very happy. The food we did see looked tasty so I’d be tempted to have a snack here.

Gorgeous food, well priced but service was slow, waited 45 minutes to pay to bill, didn’t know when it was acceptable to walk out! Set Lunch menus are €28 Meat or Fish and it’s 3 courses, absolutely stunning - sorry if you’re a vegi

Great place surrounded by beautiful architecture. The service is quick, though the drinks menu has its limitations. The dessert is delicious and the overall meals were well prepared. Great location to take a walk after dinner.

Restaurant Kopun sits in a stunning location across from the floodlit Church of St. Nicholas and at the top of the Jesuit stairs made famous by Game of Thrones. The restaurant serves a high-end take on Croatian cuisine, featuring local ingredients like seafood and the namesake capon (a male chicken). To start, the Adriatic Seafood Salad was a mixture of chopped octopus, cuttlefish, mussels, tomatoes, red onions, capers, and chickpeas, served over lettuce and radicchio. For our mains, the Black Risotto was made of al dente rice and chopped cuttlefish in a salty, black cuttlefish ink sauce, topped with a single seared scallop. But my favorite dish was the Capon in Porcini Mushroom Sauce, made of braised capon meat in a sweet, savory, dark sauce made of dried plums, forest berries, porcini mushrooms, and red wine, served with red beet-colored barley, which looked almost like beef tartare! The capon had a distinct meaty flavor not found in other chickens, and the mushroom sauce went nicely with their homemade bread on the side. Finally, for dessert, the Dubrovnik Almond and Orange Cake had a pleasantly grainy, nutty texture from the almond flour batter, and the slice was topped with a layer of melted chocolate and candied orange rind. Overall, this was a delicious meal in an elegant setting, and the menu prices were fair for the fine quality and presentation of the food!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Pasticada (stewed beef in a gravy sauce).
Great portion size and side salad was large and very fresh.

Very nice experience of high quality Mediterranean sea food and other dishes. Very good service, and nice romantic atmosphere at the terrace overlooking the sea and the bay of Kotor.
Smoking can be a bit of a challenge for any non-smokers, like anywhere in the Balkans (for now). Otherwise, great experience.

Tasty local meals, reasonable selection, menu provided in many languages. Great location. They catered for our ten person group without a reservation for dinner.

The food was delicious, the service exceptional and setting comfortable and romantic. We had the a traditional dish, the Dubrovnik Capon, a local wine and the Almond-Orange cake. If I come back to Croatia, this restaurant will be at the top of my list for dinner.

Wonderful place at the top of the Jesuit Stairs, looking at St Ignatius.
Kopun seeks to deliver typical Croatia dishes, some recipes centuries old.
We were warmly greeted, and sat in the terrace. I started with the capon soup which was flavourful and a good, light start, which I followed with the capon with porcini sauce (a 19th century dish, and my partner had the Dalmatian capon (a 16th century dish). Both were excellent and not a dish either of us had had before. Dessert was a traditional cake of almond flour and orange.
We paired our dinner with a local Cabernet Sauvignon.
Soup €7
Mains €26 ea
Wine €36
Dessert €7
Bread €2.5

A nice place on a large square in a quiet area, which is a change from most restaurants in Dubrovnik where you often find yourself eating on a table in a narrow street...
Good food and efficient and friendly service, a good address.

Delicious! I'm still salivating ... and not expensive: 260 kn (about 34 euros) for 2: 1 chicken roll with Dalmatian ham and cheese with mushroom sauce for me and grilled sardines with potatoes and onions for my husband. 1 rosé. I had 1 dessert and they kindly brought us 2 place settings! Very pleasant terrace, well set up, friendly staff. We congratulated the chef on his excellent cooking...
