This hostel has 2 locations apparently. The address on Google is their location when it is not peak season, yet their website says their official address is at the other location (confusing right). There is a sign on the front door saying reception hours are 8am-midnight, then another sign on the inside sayin 2pm-midnight. Despite this they were locked all day anyway. Beware, their "main reception" (which actually isn't their main reception) is also up a LOT of stairs in the furthest corner of the old town. And then after that, you might get sent to their other location where you need to haul your luggage back down the stairs. I ended up walking-in to a different hostel as this place contradicts what they advertise on their listings and gives out different information for some reason.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Great staff, good kitchen with everything you need to cook something. Easy to meet people and the rooms are comfy. My bed was really cool! I was also able to check in early because of the low season :)

There are 2 locations. The address given was wrong and I walked uphill for no reason. Else 5 stars for service. Everything else is good, the location is perfect.

Booked a private room but after I checked in I came back to the room to find a staff member moving a bed out of the room. We are too tall for a bunk bed which is why we booked a private room but when I raised this with the hostel they cancelled the booking on booking dot com so they wouldn’t get a bad review.
It’s a rip off as well, private rooms have a single combined shower toilet that is shared with up to 8 people, the dorms had better facilities. In Dubrovnik it’s worth staying just out of old town anyway and spending 5 minutes walking in.

Eu reservei esse hostel pela localização, quando chego lá eles me levam pra um quarto que fica do outro lado da cidade murada, em frente a uns lixeiros enormes. Quando eu reclamei na Booking e a Booking entrou em contato com o hostel, eles foram hipócritas o suficiente para dizer que eu pedi um quarto afastado do movimento em que eu pudesse dormir tranquilo. Bizarro!

Overnight male receptionist was banging one of the female guests on the terrace at like 2 in the morning. Very unprofessional.

DO NOT stay in here if you don't like unpleasant surprises. They overbooked for the night I arrived so they offered me a sofa by the kitchen instead of a bed. They only informed me of this after I had given them the money (cash only which also sucks). The only decent -or legal- thing they did was giving it all back after I asked for it. Also, as many people have said, they have 2 locations, the one advertised and another one that you have to reach after many steep stairs. They do not inform you of this until after payment. Maybe that's why they're no longer on Booking. I guess some people have had good experiences there but not me, wouldn't recommend this place at all.

First, the hostel is not at the (very) uphill location that is shown on Apple Maps. Instead, the check in is on the far end of Old Town and up a narrow winding flight of stairs, which they do not make apparent enough.

Second, it’s CASH ONLY for the rooms despite being on the more expensive side… of course except for the incidentals and no show or cancellation fees, which somehow they can take down and charge on credit cards. They are very rude about this and while there are ATMs in Old Town, there are none within the direct area of the hostel.

The hostel is actually a collection of rooms all across the city and my group was staying in 3 different rooms quite far from each other scattered across the Old Town from end to end. Randomly situated rooms across the town was not suggested to us as a possibility prior to booking and we had no choice of where we could be nor clued into how far away the rooms could be from the check-in location.

Everyone working there has a less than helpful attitude and were quite inconsiderate of our group towing luggage all over the place, given that we had to go upstairs to check in only to be led further away from the building and up stairs other places to get to our actual room. While the rooms were decently clean and suitable, this hostel is so overpriced for what it is and the reviews are misleading. My group and I will not returning nor recommending this location to anyone, and do not advise staying here if you want to avoid disappointment.

There are two buildings for the hostel, one in the middle of the town centre and one at the top of the old town and it wasn’t clear which building you were staying in when you book. Many people were told to go to the central main hostel but were actually booked into the smaller hostel at the top of the old town and had to carry their bags up many flights of stairs because of the unspecified location of their booking- this needs to be clarified. The hostel only accepted cash payments which wasn’t convenient. The building in the main centre was more modern with better facilities and it was cleaner, whereas the building up the stairs at the top of the old town was older and grimier, and this is where we stayed. Our hostel building was much smaller and it wasn’t as central as the other main building, however it was more expensive to stay in. The cleanliness and facilities weren’t worth the price. The beds and pillows were not comfortable and the bathrooms were old, small and dirty. Despite this the location within the old town was accessible disregarding the stairs. What made the stay at the hostel a great experience for us were the volunteers Benny, Luiza, Evie and Meadhbh who were all incredibly friendly and welcoming when we arrived. They helped us navigate our way around and cared about making our experience in Dubrovnik a great one. During our time in Dubrovnik a group of us from the hostel went to a local beach and there was a miscommunication between a bunch of locals who threatened us. The group leader from the hostel Benny handled the situation maturely and calmly and made sure we were all safe and respected. He handled the situation appropriately and many onlookers came over and congratulated Benny on how he gracefully handled the situation. Overall, the hostel was extremely expensive for what it was and the facilities it had, but the volunteers were what made us have an amazing stay and enjoy our time in Dubrovnik.

Love this hostel! The location is fantastic! Right in the centre of the old town. Love the staff too! Especially Benny who made the guests feel at home. Super friendly and helpful, giving recommendations and taking us the beach! It’s a bit pricey but worth it! I was lucky the other guests were super friendly too! Had a great time there ????????
