Large modern building with a relaxation area, close to the station, with a capacity of 180 beds divided into rooms and dormitories.

Close to the train station, a large modern building with a capacity of 180 beds, divided into rooms and dormitories. The reception hall is vast, with a relaxation area, computers, a coffee machine but no kitchen. A bit collectivist in spirit but the place is clean, central, cosmopolitan and the welcome is friendly. Either you have your Hostelling International card, or you will have to buy one which, from an accumulation of five nights over the year, gives you the right to discounts in one of the HI Hostels of the country.

Booked online over a month in advance a single-person room for 2 nights. When I arrived, I was instead given a bed in a dormitory for only 1 night, even though I paid 2 nights’ tourist tax. The dormitory I was put into was mixed-sex, even though I was a woman travelling alone. Furthermore, they use an inefficient “one-key-per-dorm” system

I stayed here at the end of August and unfortunately the heat in the building was unbearable. I stayed in a mixed dorm and not one of us slept that night because it was so hot. The front desk staff were also not particularly friendly or helpful either. It was close to the main city area and about a 25 minute walk to the bus station, which was helpful during my stopover here.
