MALI MRAK ZAGREB
A 15-minute tram ride from the city centre, the building is spread over 3 floors with mansardes rooms for 2 and 3 people and dormitories from 4 to 7 people. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Open all year round, this youth hostel, very colourful with its landscape paintings on the walls, has a friendly common space where to drink a drink, meet other travellers. A team available at the 24-hour reception will indicate the other services: Free broadband internet, wifi, cheap bicycle rentals, tourist information.

The house is very nicely decorated and cozy, with a garden and an outside kitchen to enjoy during the good days! So, I will definitely come back when passing by Zagreb and I highly recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to feel home far from home while staying off of the beaten track ????
A za prljave wc školjke, bacite 2 boce Cekine, možda pomognu...
This hostel has a really beautiful energy to it from the moment you walk in. The bedrooms are covered in 'love-letters' to the hostel, from previous travellers, and you instantly know you are in a good place. The facilities are spotless and Igor was an excellent host - going out of his way to give fantastic recommendations and answer all questions.
Though it was March when I stayed and the hostel was quite empty, everyone I met was so pleasant and it's definitely very easy to make friends at the hostel. It seemed like a great choice for solo travellers especially. Lots of really cosy common areas to hang out in and socialise. Furthermore, while hostel stays tend to tire me out a bit. here I not only slept very well but felt like I was staying at friends, rather than a booked stay.
Finally, I would not worry about the location being farther out than some other hostels. Connections into the city are really good and frequent (just one tram or bus to the center, without needing to change). If anything it adds to the feeling that you are staying at a home and not a hostel.
