ZAGORJE CATHEDRAL (KATEDRALA ZAGORJE)
Neoclassical church in Pregrada with a small museum of sacred art with an interesting collection of pharmaceutical objects.
This neo-classical church, with its high twin towers on the façade, was built at the end of the 18th century and is in a dominant position. Inside, the paintings of the Venetian artist J. Ziegler and the wooden organ, built by Focht, a Hungarian master-builder, preserved in its original state, are worth seeing. A small museum of sacred art, with an interesting collection of pharmaceutical objects, reminds us that the city was the cradle of modern medicine in Eastern Europe.
