The beach of Kamares (sand) is not very charming, but the absence of a backdrop will reassure parents and it is still a good place to take a dip between the main course and the dessert. To the right of the harbor, however, you will find a pleasant, somewhat isolated cove. But on the whole, you will find better places to swim on the island. A caique leaves the port every day to take you to the fishing village of Vathi, which offers a very nice sandy beach. The excursion is a bit expensive, but worth it if you stay several days in Sifnos.
