Before arriving in the village of Akrotiri, turn right into Faros. Follow the signs - this is very well indicated - and you will see the shop on your right before you arrive at the lighthouse. There are some delicacies: all typical products of the island, which are prepared by administrators, Maria and Marcella, des, and their team. The first is French and will be happy to give you advice, whether they are culinary, or to direct your choice of wine or your discovery of the island. The shop proposes a guided tour (in French, Spanish, Italian) of the vine and the vegetable garden: In April we see the buds, and in season vegetables that grow (tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelons, fava…). All this, as well as the vines, are products that grow without ever being watered! And yes, it's the particularity of culture in Santorini, used to not having water in reserve and getting satisfied with rain. Will we say that this is what gives them this particular taste? You can enjoy wines and products on site, free of charge; You do not force your hand to buy, everything is done with a certain goodness of the heart. The house, the vine and the shop are a family heritage, so we honour it. From August 20 th to 30 th, the grapes are being trampled with their feet and the festival is in music at the end: Everyone is welcome to participate (and you can be sure that the activity will please children!). The wines are artisanal: vinsanto, mezze and nichteri are without sulphites and as other products are organic and without additives.
