ROMAN BATHS
Roman baths with mosaics and marble tiles marking the Roman presence on Benitses.
It's well worth seeking them out, even if the site is poorly maintained. The Roman baths at Benitses are one of the few well-preserved examples of the Roman presence on the island. They are located on the property of the Kapsokavvadi family. After crossing the fence, which is not very high and full of holes, you can take a few minutes to explore the entire site. A Roman house was built on the site of the property, but only the baths have been found. Impressive mosaics and marble tiles are still visible.
