OLIVE OIL MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to the extraction of olive oil at the lake of Korissia.
Spiros and Vaggelis Mavroudis have been making olive oil since 1993. In 2013, they had the sudden and slightly crazy idea of opening this olive oil museum, where the tools and methods used from 1850 to the present day to extract the oil would be displayed. The museum gives a complete picture of the evolution of olive oil production practices, as well as of life on the island during the winter months. The visit lasts about an hour, and includes a tasting session! The family also owns a store in the nearby village of Moraitika.
