THE BASE
In a radical departure from traditional hospoda, The Base's decor is purposely uncluttered, brightly lit and discreetly furnished. The trendy 30-somethings can also be found here, with the copper beer vats as a backdrop (here you can only drink Urquell pilsner), and order traditional Czech dishes in a light version, based on local and seasonal produce. Goulash, pork chops and roast duck are all very well done! A little more expensive than a real hospoda, but you pay for the ambience, and the daily menu means you don't have to spend too much.
