February is the beginning of the prom season in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic. The graduation ball is an extremely lively tradition in the country, for which high school students prepare months in advance (costumes, dance classes, choice of partners, etc.). In the capital, the most beautiful halls are taken by storm like the Municipal House or the Lucerna. They are organized by the high schools, but the Czech-Slovakian ball of the municipal house is intended for adults, to dance to the sound of jazz... on February 14!
