Gay Pride is now well established in Prague's cultural life and brings together more than 20,000 people each year.
Prague has had its Gay Pride since 2011 and the event is now well established in Prague's cultural life, although the beginnings were chaotic due to the very strong political opposition to the demonstration. The festival takes a rather classical form, with a huge parade from Wenceslas Square to the banks of the Vltava via Avenue Nationale, open-air concerts, open debates on the right to "difference", exhibitions... The Gay Pride in Prague brings together more than 20,000 people every year.
