After a thorough renovation, the museum returned to its collections in 2022, offering a magnificent tour of Bohemia's art and craft treasures. Tableware, woodwork and marquetry, jewelry, clocks... A fascinating tour featuring glass, crystal, porcelain, wood, precious stones and metals, as well as tapestries, lace, clocks and superb furniture from different periods. New features include a long gallery presenting a collection of women's clothing from the late 19th century to the present day. Undergarments and accessories from the corresponding eras are displayed in two galleries opposite the first. The final rooms examine modern design: in the 1970s, new materials such as plastic replaced wood and ironwork, introducing new shapes and colors and launching mass production, relegating traditional materials to the realm of art and craft. Superb furniture by Louis Majorelle, for example, can be admired alongside creations that were modern for their time, but have already become vintage today. Vintage design also takes pride of place in the room devoted to games and home decor, which will evoke many memories in 50-somethings... The visit ends on the top floor with the "Glass in all its states" exhibition: beautiful creations by Czech artists from 1945 to the present day.
