Inaugurated in 1902 - when it was known as the Casino Municipal de Tunis - the Théâtre Municipal de Tunis is a major national and international stage. Over more than a century, the theater has welcomed such great names as Sarah Bernhardt, Gérard Philippe, Jean Marais and many others. Once a month, it hosts a concert by the Orchestre National de Tunisie. Big names from the Tunisian comedy scene perform here, as well as popular singers.
