This honestly was a bit of a mixed bag. Positives were the hotel views and bar staff! The views in the morning are breathtaking. Our holiday was made or saved by getting a car for sure though! The close beaches are terrible but with 20 to 30 min drives you can reach better places with really lovely clear water and sunbeds. Elounda beach is not worth a visit for a family day out it's just a small patch next to all the boats. We did however enjoy walking a couple of times through the shops and town close by.
Negatives. The room was literally falling apart. If you are looking for finer things on your holiday this is probably not your place. Things like the head board we're totally broken and wonky. Really wonky pictures, one bed was so so soft we had to rotate turns on it because it gave us a bad back. When we looked under there was a big peice of support under the bed that was broken and missing with a cheap fix. The draws on the room were all hard to open and close as so broken, the top off the door frame also fell off on my partner when he was standing by it. It's s shame because with some sprucing up on rooms and clearing up around the hotel generally it could be so much nicer but the rooms were falling apart in many aspects so imagined we'd have similar issues if we asked to move rooms.
The food was ok, we filled up on it often but also enjoyed meals out.
Bizarrely the all including beer and wine we are pretty sure had little or no alcohol in it. We drank loads one day... we weren't feeling anything. We ended up paying for our drinks or buying locally if we wanted a drink cos felt like it was wasted calories. It's a shame because we were all inclusive and looking forward to some free tipples.
The salt water in the pools was off-putting to our 6 year old who loves water and being under water. It was way too salty and did really hurt her eyes and hurt her skin by the end of the week.
Both my partner and daughter injured their feet and back on the green slide as the water is pretty shallow and they hit the floor upon exit. I've seen loads of reviews on this so some consideration to the green slide should probably be considered.
Despite so much being a pain! We did have a good holiday. The views and the staff saved it. There wasn't much to do close by without car though.
Feedback to the hotel would be to put some more effort into their rooms. It would make so much difference. They were very clean though!!!

The room was basic for a family apartment but had everything we needed, even air con included mega!. And at first we weren’t happy but we moved the room around to meet our needs and was loads better. The room however wasn’t swept and the balcony was never cleaned, cleaning was just done very basic. The room had a lovely view from our room (10).
The food at breakfast was good, a good variety of food. We didn’t really have lunch and dinner at the hotel as we ate out most days and evenings. We did stay in one night and the food was good, but cold and wasn’t served hot. Not a great selection for kids but was okay for one night. The bar staff were ace!
Overall, absolutely amazing holiday. I have been honest in this review and would still rate my stay at 5 stars. Staff, service, food, room and Elounda were just brill. We will 100% be back next year, but as a family of four not three ????????
Thank you
