Villa facing the sea with a view on the bay of Kom Kapi and the sea.

Facing the sea, in the 19th-century district of Halepa, Villa Andromeda is a historic landmark. It is in fact the former German consulate. It was built in the neoclassical style adopted by prestigious personalities and institutions of the time. Luxurious in its simplicity, it radiates charm and tranquility. Notable features include the swimming pool, terrace and garden. The establishment offers an incredible view of Kom Kapi Bay and the sea, just a 15-minute walk from the historic center. You can breathe it in.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The building itself is a historic mansion and there's also a large outdoor space with eating areas, deck chairs, a pool, and a beautiful garden. Our room was really special, a two-story space with a marble spiral staircase and a vaulted ceilingin the bedroom. The location is in a quiet residential area, but still only about 15-20 minutes' walk away from the city centre. It's also only a 5-minute walk away from the Archaeological Museum, which is well worth a visit.
The breakfast was delicious & service was excellent, and they were very accommodating to requests even beyond the items that were included on the form - they told us to write in whatever else we wanted. You can also choose where you want your breakfast served - we ate in the garden next to the pool.
The staff were all very lovely as well. They helped us when we had to leave very early for a flight, and arranged for breakfast to be delivered to our room the night before. They also gave us a mini bottle of wine when we arrived as a welcome present, which was a nice touch - we enjoyed it on our last night, on the balcony watching the sun set over the ocean.
To anyone driving in, the parking is a bit confusing - you have to drive in down the alley that runs behind the building to get in.

Emmanouela, Anna and Maria and the entire staff were so welcoming and kind. They made us feel welcome and helped immensely with the planning when the weather took a turn as we weren't so familiar with the distances involved. We really had a wonderful time at the hotel. It was just about a 20min walk to the center of Chania and locally there were also a couple of restaurants too. Breakfast was lovely on the veranda with a few or in our room (or in the garden). I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
