Annex of the museum of the Navy presenting models of typical boats of the region.

At the eastern end of the Venetian port is the dock built in 1607 housing the annex of the Navy Museum. There you will see many model ships typical of the region. A section is dedicated to shipbuilding in antiquity. You will discover the faithful reconstruction of a Minoan ship (1500 BC) made with the help of the Naudomo Institute. Only authentic materials and tools were used. The boat was launched in December 2003 and carried the Olympic flame from Chania to Piraeus in 2004 for the Olympic Games.
