VILLAGE DE MILIA
This th century village, with its small stone houses, offers not only traditional habitat accommodation but also a true ecological lifestyle. In the early 1980 s, people gathered together to restore this village lost in the hills of a particularly green nature, to offer a form of ecotourism with European Community funds. A little the equivalent of hostels in France. This farming community cultivates organic products, recycle and has chosen to live in harmony with nature… Spring water at the tap of the bathroom, wood heating… in addition to the radiator. And for some time, electricity in the rooms! Also a tavern serving quality dishes with products from or around the production. Order your eyes closed, everything is succulent! It is also in this tavern that the guests'very rich breakfast is served. People who choose to stay can participate in the activities of the village: collecting, planting, making the raki… or leaving the area on foot.

First things first, how to get here: Google maps is helpful but not perfect. Attached you’ll find a screenshot. The fuchsia circle is where Google said the restaurant was but the yellow circle is where the restaurant actually is. Here’s a tip, once Google tells you “you arrived”, keep driving down the road, you’ll see a parking space. Park your car here and then walk for about 100mts and the restaurant is going to be on your left.
Now onto the food, I took pictures because a pic most of the time is worth more than a thousand words. Our absolute favorites were: Cretan salad, chicken apaki, baked cheese feta, both the meat dishes and the chocolate mousse.
People in the restaurant are very kind and you get stunning views of the mountains. Enjoy!
