Youth hostel located in the heart of the old town offering good services.
Located in the heart of the old town, this youth hostel is a real boon. It is very pleasant with its common terrace and its several inondée, offering good services and a relaxed atmosphere. The beds are distributed in this old renovated wooden house in dormitories with 6 or 8 seats. In summer, possibility of sleeping on the roof of the house, on a mattress. The recent health is clean, but hot water can be quickly exhausted in the evening. An excellent address like one would like more in Crete…

The hostel is located adjacent to the Old Town, where I enjoyed getting lost among the delicious restaurants, interesting artisan shops, and fascinating architecture and history of Rethymno.
The hostel has a few common areas, two are outdoors where people smoke and/or cook. All the facilities are cleaned throughout the day by housekeeping. There’s a bar at reception and you must buy your own drinking water.
Because I’m a big, tall guy, the only challenge was the beds, which were too narrow and uncomfortable, but ultimately fine for a few nights. You can’t beat the overall value of this hostel to be honest.
I saw Kosta invite a young couple to Stella’s Kitchen. Do have lunch there! Nico helped me with an important personal matter, for which I’m truly grateful!

One star missing because it needs more showers with hot water running at all times. Had to take cold showers multiple times late at night. Also the hostel could officially organize events and outings, most of what I did was organized by fellow guests themselves.
