ENAGRON ECOTOURISM VILLAGE
It is the pioneer of ecotourism in the beautiful Rethymnon region: a model that was opened in the year 2000. A field of solar panels at the entrance attests to the beliefs of the bosses. Crete is a village of some small, personalised guest houses, in Mediterranean style, built with materials from the country. The complex was originally built for the people of Greece who want to find themselves in nature and to participate in peasant life. While in winter Greek tourists make up the bulk of the troops, Europeans now account for 80% of the clientele. Crete also houses a organic farm with production of lamb and lamb's milk processed into cheese, a vineyard and olive groves. Visitors can attend or even participate in the course of a course in the manufacture of cheese or that of bread in the wood oven. At the table, under the pergola, we are indulging in flowers of stuffed zucchini or a mere slice of mytzithra - this Cretan sheep cheese that has just been pressed before our eyes - olive oil. Coup de coeur!
