ELLERMAN HOUSE
A billionaire's palace looking at the right ocean in the waves on the heights of Bantry Bay. In 1992, banker Paul Harris decided to buy Sir John Ellerman's crazy villa to make it a great luxury hotel for the wealthy clientele who fled the crowd. So there are only suites. The decorator has worked in the style "English colonial manor", using everything that is more beautiful and more expensive; Marble alterne with precious wood, Persian carpets, crystal chandeliers, solid silver, combed cotton, virgin wool, slate. The garden - walled lawns planted with palm trees - forms a balcony on the ocean; Chairs are covered with deep beds and are waiting for you on the large swimming pool. For service, staff is as many as clients. The modern wing features more cliffs suites than original ones. We prefer the charm and nobility of the historic residence, its small lift and its toiles. Attention, room 6, cheaper, gives onto the Rolls'reels on the parking lot. From suites and lounges, sublime views over the coast and the ocean: one would think of France's gateway. An extraordinary cellar.
