In less than ten years, Jeff Grier managed to put Villiera in the top of the major fields. Gifted? Perhaps, and worker with this, since it bears the title of "Cape Wine Master". His Cru is well one of the best red assemblages in the country and his Sauvignon white Bush vine is fruity to die. But Villiera's reputation was first built on a champagne method developed with French Jean-Louis Denois: Tradition Gross, Tradition Rosé Gross and Gold Card Gross.
