D'VIJFF VLIEGHEN
A magnificent historical restaurant, a kind of culinary museum where the show is as much on the plate as in the room.
This restaurant is a true city institution. For centuries, it has been serving inspired Dutch cuisine in a historic atmosphere that seems to have stepped out of a Rembrandt or Vermeer painting. The place is absolutely romantic, and there's nothing nicer than spending an evening in one of the many "niches". The highlight is the Rembrandt room, with prints by the master. There are also works by Breitner, Delft earthenware and old liquor bottles. In a word: magnificent!
