HOTEL DE HALLEN
Superb design hotel located in the west, in an old tram shed in the heart of an exit district that has a lot of energy!
Amsterdam's western district has undergone a remarkable transformation, and Les Halles (De Hallen) is the perfect example. Formerly a streetcar shed, this vibrant place has become a cultural and culinary center not to be missed. The hotel in this complex blends historic elements with contemporary touches. The beds are extremely comfortable and the communal areas invite you to relax and socialize, especially around the reading tables. Beware of claustrophobia: some rooms open onto the windowless interior.

The next day, when we approached the morning receptionist, a young and incredibly rude individual, we were met with a complete lack of professionalism and unfriendliness. We were shocked by the way we were treated. In an attempt to resolve the issue, we decided to call the manager, Judi. However, she proved to be equally unhelpful and displayed a very unfriendly attitude towards us. It seemed like she was more interested in making sure other guests did not overhear our conversation, rather than addressing our concerns. It was clear that she knew we were in the right, yet she did nothing to rectify the situation.
Not only did they charge us for a room that did not match the pictures and description provided, but their customer service was abysmal. As a result of this horrendous experience, three other families who were planning to travel to Amsterdam have decided to cancel their reservations at this hotel.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The lack of professionalism, disrespectful behavior, and disregard for customer satisfaction make it clear that this establishment does not value its guests. Save yourself the trouble and find a different hotel that actually cares about providing a pleasant experience for its customers.
A particular female staff always greeted & smile when face to face. She’s good!
My last night stay, the cleaner left their mopping towel in my room on the table.
There’s totally not coffee and tea replenished during my last day stay. I called for coffee & asked to go out take myself, which is fine. But just wondering is it normal to have not coffee & tea replenishment on last day.
I had guest visited me & the male staff using very suspicious attitude to talk to us, even I have already mentioned he’s my guest on 18th Dec 10pm! Be alert is good but the attitude shown was bad. I hope this is NOT related to any racist.
My last night stay with broken air conditioner, and my room is the only one happened. I hope it only happened accidentally.
Breakfast was just alright.
