The Luther Museum is located in the Wintterberg, a building erected in 1772 to care for the elderly. It is so named because it was on this square that Maarten Luther presented his 95 theses, the foundation of the Reformed Church. The tour introduces us to the Lutheran Church and its role through the ages, particularly its work with the needy, the poor and the elderly. Today, this commitment continues, particularly with the LGBTQIA+ community. This venue, with its impressive halls, can be rented out for conventions or weddings.

Interessant maar klein museum. Interessant om een kijkje te krijgen in de geschiedenis van de Lutherse kerk in Amsterdam. Ik had wel iets meer informatie over Luther zelf verwacht.

Interessant museum dat ik mocht bezoeken als lid van de Historische Vereniging Westerwolde. Wie bedenkt dat Amsterdam in de 17e eeuw voor 20% uit Lutheranen bestond moet dit museum niet overslaan. Mooi te combineren met een bezoek aan het Hermitage.
