VROLIK MUSEUM
A museum that displays a collection of embryos and anatomical specimens assembled by Gerardus Vrolik and his son
Located outside the city center, within the Faculty of Medicine of the AMC Hospital, this Museum of the Human Body houses an impressive collection of embryos and anatomical specimens. The collection was assembled by Professor Gerardus Vrolik (1775-1859) and his son Willem Vrolik (1801-1863). Constantly expanding, the collection now boasts over 10,000 specimens, including Siamese, Cyclops and 150 specimens with congenital malformations. A fascinating visit, but not recommended for pregnant women.
