With an amazing situation at one of the north end of the city in a low residential building, but just a few steps from the national museums of theatre and costume, go to the old Quinta dos Frades restaurant, a rather chic lounge space for the TV watching. Bar at the imposing counter with lounges, large room with a view of garden or a mezzanine with soft lighting standard lamp, perhaps more favourable to the head-face… At the time of our passage, Chakall, the young Argentine executive leader, media guest (and sometimes controversial) from five cultures, was in Asia for two months filming a new culinary series for Chinese television CCTV. A beautiful kid, a former model designer and journalist, the busy man, a crossroads between Cyril Lignac and Jamie Oliver, intelligently directs several business and restaurants in Portugal and Germany, prepares the business class menus of the Sata Açorienne airline or cultivates products served on plates from his farmhouse in Lourinhã (near Óbidos). In the summary, a varied map not too whistle for Argentinian and Portuguese cuisine, sometimes simple but more often refined, doubled from a very good cellar, served in a competent way. Generally well regaled with alheira da beira (grilled sausage on sweet potato cake), risotto of Saint-Jacques, octopus on bed of spinach and banana pepper pepper red berries and raw ham chips or de beef avant before pie with almonds and boule ice balls or Tatin pie to squash. Note that some too spicy dishes can be mitigated… For the little story, the urinals in the end, this was the first time that the Petit Smart pissait on ice cubes, concept!
