ASSOCIAÇÃO CABO-VERDIANA DE LISBOA
In addition to its action for the integration of the archipelago's nationals, the Capverdian Association of Lisbon has a restaurant to discover the country's cuisine in the form of simple and rich day dishes; feature, the cachupa (sweet corn, beans, chorizo, lard…). Located on the eighth floor of a business building (almost non-existent signage), Casa Mãe (the mother house, as called for with respect by the Capverdians of the capital) often knows a record peak: a good mix of people from the islands and Africa, plus some secretaries and metropolitan managers from neighboring offices. On Tuesday and Thursday, the rhythm of music (coladeira or funana) ao vivo embraces, more than other days, the atmosphere of lunch. An unusual place watered with punch and softened by the coconut cake.
