At the foot of the castle, the place is cute, all along, with exposed stones. Guida and Stéphane's welcome is very friendly and warm. We eat typical Portuguese dishes, monkfish with a shrimp sauce for example, and good starters such as homemade sardine pate. As a decoration, jewellery, paintings, etc. are on display. A restaurant where you feel good, perfect for a dinner for two or just for a quiet dinner. Avoid coming unexpectedly if you want to be sure you have a place.

Cosy, authentique, servis très convivialement par le patron. Plat copieux et locaux. Vaut franchement le détour si vous voulez passer un moment très agréable (en amoureux). Par contre il est conseillé de réserver car peu de place (déconseillé pour les grands groupes)

Pour moi, c'est un vrai restaurant portugais, typique et pas cher! Nous y sommes allés comme beaucoup a la fin d une visite du château, se trouvant juste à côté. De l extérieur, ça ne paie pas de mine : on ne se rend pas compte que c est un restaurant si on ne connaît pas la façade. A l intérieur, c est tout petit (environ 20 couverts). Very good small family-run restaurant located two steps from the castle and homemade cooking made by Portuguese madame while French monsieur is in the room.
we have been eating bacalhau con natas and cod fillet with clams accompanied by vinho verde alvarinio.
Desserts are homemade,
little choice has the menu but better, it is a proof of quality and freshness.
We will go back undoubtedly.
